Allison & Ross: Audubon Park and Clubhouse Wedding

When I first met Allison and Ross and saw their enthusiasm about all that they had planned for their wedding day, I just knew that this was going to be awesome. They described the details they were working on, the music play list, the theme, gifts, honeymoon plans for Japan… I just loved them. These two are artists, and I LOVE working with artists! On top of all of the creativity, artists are generally laid back, and a lot of fun. Allison and Ross were exactly that. They wanted images that showed them having the best time of their lives. No drama, just authenticity. This made my job easy, because it certainly looked like they were having a blast the entire time.

I was kind of afraid to give them any direction at all since they were having a great time chatting away. Adorable.

And seriously – Allison’s brother and sisters definitely win the most fun sibling award.

The back of their programs…

A little Japanese inspired decor…

We definitely share the same taste in music! With a ceremony lineup including Broken Social Scene, Coldplay, Barry Louis Polisar, Bright Eyes, Postal Service, and Allman Brothers Band, I was loving their choices!

Thanks to my assistant, Hermann, for going across the pond to get this shot of the Newman Bandstand!

Yes, they skipped away from the ceremony – perfectly them!

There were paper cranes hanging from the lights, at each table, and placed here and there around the Audubon Clubhouse. Each crane was sent off after the wedding to the Bezos Family Foundation, where they pledged to give toward the reconstruction efforts in Japan for each crane they received.

At the end of their first dance, Allison and Ross invited the bridal party to join them. This crew loves to dance!

This was the part in the ceremony where everyone was belting out, “I’ll make a man out of you” from Mulan. <3

Allison and Ross – Thank you for giving me a new love for what I do. Just before the procession started, as Viva la Vida was playing, and I was tearing up, I was thinking, “I love this. I get paid to do THIS.” You were absolutely amazing to work with. Thanks for being awesome!
