Baby Easton

Many of you have asked about the second half of the Alaska post. I had full intentions to make that happen soon after our return, but quickly got caught up in life and baby projects. (Don’t worry – the vacation post will happen sometime soon!) We’re finally making progress – furniture has been ordered, curtains are under construction, and the nursery is now a bright apple green. Childbirth classes are completed, birth plan is written, and we have everything squared away with the hospital. Only about 10 more weeks left until I’ll be holding my little baby!

Two weeks ago I got to take baby Easton’s portraits. While baby sessions aren’t part of my normal work, I find myself somewhat regularly doing them as gifts for friends. Easton made the experience so wonderful, that I’m now considering doing a lot more baby sessions. He is an absolute sweetheart! Every time I held him as we were making adjustments, I didn’t want to put him down. His warm, soft skin, tiny fingers and toes, and fuzzy head made my little mama heart melt!

I don’t normally do much with props, but Easton’s mommy and grandma had gathered all sorts of fun things. I think they turned out pretty cute!

How adorable is he?!

::happy sigh::

    I am Lisa Harrison’s (Easton’s grandmother’s) “cousin” and I live in Dallas. Lisa forwarded the link with Easton’s pictures. I just had to say BEAUTIFUL!!!! I’ve never seen baby pictures taken with the baby sleeping and so many props. What an adorable idea, and such a talented photographer!!!! Precious pictures and I’m glad I got to see them. What a beautiful set of “first real photos!” How could you miss with this adorable baby, Easton. Thanks for sharing.

    Congratulations Mom and Dad (and Grandparents) on your wonderful little angel. Enjoy every moment and keep taking pictures! They grow so fast.

    These pictures look like they could have been taken by Anne Geddes. Whoever the photographer was, they were very, very talented. He is just so precious. But what? No pictures of him as a mafia hit man? He looks so Italian!

    How do you get him to stay asleep the whole time? I mean, I know babies sleep a lot, but it would seem that with that much moving around, he would start to complain!ReplyCancel

      The little guy had a long morning visiting the doctor, so by the time he got home and was fed he was pretty much out (when I arrived). He had to be consoled a few times in the beginning as we were rearranging him, but soon he was a perfectly content newborn. That is – until it was feeding time again.ReplyCancel
